Before going for an abdomen and pelvic ultrasound, do not eat 8 hours prior to the appointment. One can take important medicines and eat light, non-dairy food if necessary. Apart from this, an individual can drink 3-4 cups of clear fluid (water), 1 hour prior to the appointment but remember, do not empty your bladder.
